2022/23 SASA Winter League

The 2022/2023 Winter League has now been concluded:
The series consist of four races and the focus is on giving anyone new to racing a taste of what ski racing is all about.  All SASA members who can ski down the main slope using controlled turns are encouraged to attend for a couple of hours fun racing on a Sunday morning (you can join SASA to take part).  Despite it being a very friendly race,  there will be some fierce competition from all age groups!

Entry is on-line, and the closing date for each race is a ONE WEEK BEFORE the race:

Unfortunately,  we cannot accept late entries as we need this time to prepare for the race (we’re volunteers who have to fit this around our own lives!)

BOOKINGS ARE *NOW* CLOSED – remember to apply for SASA membership too.  (Only current members can attend the events).

The age categories for the 2022/23 Winter League are:

CAT 0 01/01/2017 onwards
CAT 1 born between 01/01/2015 and 31/12/2016
CAT 2 born between 01/01/2013 and 31/12/2014
CAT 3 born between 01/01/2011 and 31/12/2012
CAT 4 born between 01/01/2009 and 31/12/2010
CAT 5 born between 01/01/2007 and 31/12/2008
CAT 6 born between 01/01/2005 and 31/12/2006
CAT 7 born between 01/01/2003 and 31/12/2004
SENIOR born between  01/01/1993 and 31/12/2002
MASTER born on or before 31/12/1992

Race Day Timings

A race bulletin will be issued prior to each race and the information in the race bulletin supersedes what is on this page (so,  please check it before each race!),  but these are the approximate timings for the morning’s racing.

8.30 Registration and bib issue
8.40 Lift and Start Marshals to be in place for Open Practice to commence 

9.10 Course setting and inspection
9.30 – 11.00 Timed runs

Prize giving will follow as soon as practicable after the last run.
