The event comprises  3 timed slalom runs, the fastest of which will count. The aggregate of the fastest times achieved by 3 separate racers will count as the team time. Primary school teams will compete through stubbies, secondary school teams will compete through full gates.

Entry Rules

Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.  Please ensure that you have the minimum number of racers in your team before entering  (race entry is towards the bottom off the page)

All participants must be able to use the lift unaided and descend, in control, from the top of the slope. Long sleeves, long trousers and gloves must be worn. Helmets are compulsory but are available from the ski centre at no additional charge.

The minimum number of entrants required to form a school team is 3. Maximum guaranteed entry per school team is 12. Further entries may be accepted as numbers permit, in order of receipt.

There are two age categories:

    • Junior (up to yr 6)
    • Secondary (yr 7 to 13)

If a school team has only 3 racers, the team must ski in the age group of the oldest member of the team. If a school team comprises 4 skiers with 2 in each age group, the team manager must state in advance which of the younger category skiers will “ski up” to form a valid secondary school team. If a school entry comprises more than 4 skiers, the racers must compete in the correct age group.

“Singles” will only be accepted if they are SASA members. Where a school has entered a team of 3 or more racers, but there is only 1 racer in a particular age group, this does not constitute a “single” entry.

Each school team is required to provide a volunteer to help out with the race on the day.

Entry Price

Snowsports England  (SSE) Members (either a member of SASA or another SSE affiliated ski club): £14
