Membership Enrolment 2025/26

Membership of SASA must now be taken out directly from our National governing body; Snowsport England. There are several categories of membership available with link below. When completing the application, you must pick SASA (Southampton Area Ski Association) from the drop down list

Membership runs from 1 November for a year. Membership includes Snowsport England liability insurance. The appropriate membership level is compulsory for all racing and training.
Parents, volunteers and recreational skiers can also benefit from the liability insurance by choosing “green” membership which is only £4.99 for the year.
GREEN

      • For recreational skiers and snowboarders who are members of an affiliated club. You will have public liability insurance included, but you won’t get personal accident benefits nor will you get access to any of the

    Snowsport England membership benefits

    . If you are skiing or snowboarding beyond purely recreational (i.e. skiing gates, hitting freestyle features like jumps and rails), then you will need a minimum of Blue membership

 

BLUE
For skiers and snowboarders who enjoy the sport recreationally and/or compete in lower-level events, such as local club competitions, school races and regional races. This also includes activities such as race training with gates/stubbies, supervised freestyle sessions, hitting jumps, rails and boxes in the park. This is £19.99

This also covers U10 and U12s who race in seeded-level races, such as club nationals, as well as anyone who competes in an organised freestyle or nordic competition in the UK

 
RED COMPETE
For competitors (aged 12 and over) who compete in seeded races (alpine) or international races (freestyle and nordic) This category is £69.99
Please note: Children aged 11 or under will get their first year of Snowsport England membership for free!
There is also a “black” category which includes 2 weeks European travel insurance including racing and training.
