Thollon 2012 Report

SASA trainees enjoyed another Thollon Alpine Race Training Camp with SKIBITZ, in advance of the 2013 Anglo-Scottish Championships at Les Houches.

An excellent camp enjoyed by all, with some exciting future opportunities.

Thollon Accommodation
For those who need to rent apartments / hotels. Log onto www.thollonlesmemises.com and once on the website click “ The Hosting” and then “Particular Hirers Out”, here you will find apartments for rent. Another contact for apartments is Mike Hill 01789 414683 and quote Residence Les Gentianes.

For hotels, go to the same website but just click the hotels link. There are two hotels suitable in Thollon, Le Bellevue and Le Bon Sejour.

Lift Passes
Lift pass costs are around 19 euros for the day, however half day tickets are available and there are usually multiday offers available in resort.

Training Programme
The training program will consist of free skiing, technical drills, slalom gates and gs gates, dependent on local snow conditions, weather conditions and availability of training pistes. A typical session will start at 08:45hrs and run through to 13:00hrs. In the afternoons we hope to have video analysis, ski prep, and some fitness work.

Cost
Cost of the training sessions will be determined when we have final numbers, but should not be more than 32 euros per trainee per session. The more we have the less it will be.

Insurance and Safety
All trainees must have adequate race / training insurance and correct safety equipment. Please see the Athlete Safety page.
